Glamorizing Teen Pregnancy

When I was 16 and 17 they did not have the show 16 & pregnant or Teen mom.  I became a teenaged mother at the age of 17, my senior year in high school I was pregnan throughout.  Let me tell ya, it was no walk through the park either.  I had plenty of friends, played sports and even had a scholarship going for myself until I got pregnant.  I felt like the black sheep of my class, I mean of course people were nice to me; always wanting to rub my belly or feel the baby kick.  But, little did they know I heard the things they said behind my back. I had a very hard time being pregnant because I'm a people person and relied on my friends companionship so much, but after getting pregnant it was all gone.
(Always in the spot light, isn't truly how pregnancy is and who wants their teenage years to be like that any ways, especially pregnan!?)
Teen mom I believe has glamorized teen pregnany.  Most of the girls that were on the show previously have more concerns with doing things to further their "fame" than worrying about what's going on with their children.  Every time I've looked at a magazine it seems like there is another one of the girls from the first season of teen mom; talking about how one got a boob job to further her tv career or loosing cudstody of their child for abusive behavior.  This in all reality is not how true motherhood is, especially at a teenage stage.  There isn't going to be lights and cameras around to watch your every more, some family members are going to be so againist the idea that they don't talk to you for years.  When you become a mother you have to learn to grow up and be responsible. With saying that in some seasons I've noticed that the mother's or father's parents are paying for a lot of things, you might get help from parents and family, but they aren't going to buy your way.  You made the choice to have sex and to have a baby now you should be the one taking care of it, not someone else it's part of the responsibility! It really makes me angry how this show portrays teen pregnany, since I've actually expierenced it and know how it truly is.  Yet, for some reason I can't stop watching this show and I'm not sure why the addiction to it.  Many girls are watching this show every week and some can't deal with missing it.  I just hope that most and many girls truly realize that the life that these girls are having on the television show, aren't truly how realy motherhood and raising a child is.  The party life that you thought you might live during your teen years going into your early twenties won't happen if your truly responsbile with your child.
